The Inclusive Sport for All Ages and Abilities

Dragonball is a multi-skill sport where players use their hands and feet to kick, throw and pass the Dragonballs in teams to score goals. There are two teams, two goals and seven Dragonballs in each game. Games can be played running, at walking pace, in wheelchairs, and the game adapts to the age and abilities of the players. Dragonball is the sport played in the “Sammy Rambles” series of books written by JT Scott.
.
Dragonball Sports Creative Director and Founder, Jenny Leggott said, “We wanted to create an inclusive sport with a powerful positive message, there’s no ‘you’re not good enough’ or ‘we don’t want you on our team’, Dragonball is a unique sport that brings people together and it’s a great way to keep active, fit and healthy, to make friends and work together to score goals.”
.
“Playing Dragonball in the holiday club was a great success with 100% participation from all the children. From past experience it is difficult to get everyone interested and involved in sport but Dragonball certainly delivered. We actually have the children asking to play it again. As for the game itself I found it very good with different aspects of the National Curriculum we can introduce to schools. It really does tick all the boxes required to be a productive session. Covering basic Agility, Balance, Co-ordination (ABC’s), throwing & catching, movement and spatial awareness, team work and what I noticed further into the session was the communication between team mates. We will certainly take this into schools.” – Plymouth Argyle Community Trust
